somewhere along the way, i realized painting furniture makes me happy. it's a great distraction, a creative outlet for me and something completely different from mothering to do. i love this stratford blue on this vintage child's desk. the desk was in terrible shape. someone was throwing it away, so i took it, removed the drop down leaf, unhooked the metal arms and sanded the thing down and painted it. a top coat of poly and voila. a little desk for a little girl.
it's gorgeous!! i LOVE painting furniture too...it's so therapeutic and so fun to turn trash into TREASURE!! great job!! let's go do some dumpster diving sometime soon... ;)
