On Love

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.

Earlier this evening I wrote a rant on how disturbed I was about Maryland's Senate moving forward with legalizing same-sex marriage.  I could not have felt more self-righteous writing it!  But when it was done, I realized ... where is the love?  Jesus condemned who?  Not the adulterer, not the homosexual, but the Pharisees whose pride and self-righteousness had removed them further from heaven than even the "least of these"....

Love is not easily angered {over flagrant sin}....it keeps no record of wrongs {!!}...  Love always hopes{for changed hearts}.... love always perseveres {even when we are so far from getting it right!}....Love never fails{to give up... or to do what it set out to do}.

Oh, that my heart would be truly filled with this Love!  Agape love in all its facets, in all its humility, in all its graciousness.  Not my own, rudimentary, very conditional, love.....but Your amazing life-giving, life-changing Love, Oh Lord.

Amen.

mo sno??!

 So after our 72 degrees last week, and after I took down most of our winter decorations and put up happy spring ones (above)... we got mo sno! 

 I got these spring garden shovels the other day at Michaels, thinking we could do some early planting and digging in the garden in a few weeks.  Did NOT expect to use them on snow today!!  LOL

At least the girls had fun outside digging!  I'd just be happier if we could dig in the warm sun sooner than later.  Happy Tuesday!

Valentine's Day 2011(a tad bit early)!

we made homemade cards

 and found U-DA-MAN chocolate covers for the MAN in the house (heehee!)

and little chocolates and homemade cards for her classmates

and last but not least, we found a rack for the bow-tie lovin-MAN in the house!  lol  

it's date night @ La Tasca - can't wait for the sangria!!!!

so a friend passed along 2 cream curtain panels to me for the living room, to finally have some night time privacy (we inherited sheers only)... and it set in motion 5 hours of moving furniture, cleaning out toys, freecycling a rug, a sofa table, and our pennsylvania house dry sink -- and rearranging 3 rooms in my house!  and can i just say, i love my house now!!!  it's not particularly fancy - just clean and spacious.  i feel like i can breathe when i come down the stairs in the morning and see cream curtains and a cream rug instead of dark green and heavy heavy furniture.  yipee.  it was a good day.  night night.

the week

we played with barns and animals

and did a little school in the afternoons (matching, numbers, colors)

and played in the snow

and watched lots of dvds...

they never tire of trains

or banana muffins!

and mamma finally finished a shower gift!

and daddy was wiped out from work...

but they still had time to feed their animals (lol)

and the baby, of course...  ;)

the week was long and i can't wait for the weekend.  :)
